The city of Coconut Creek is holding a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday to honor fallen U.S. veterans.
The city’s parks and recreation department, along with American Legion Post 170, is hosting the event at Veterans Park, 3550 Lyons Rd., and has invited the public to “join us in honoring the men and women who gave their lives to protect our freedom,” according to an announcement from the city.
The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and is free to attend.
In the event of bad weather, the ceremony will be held at the city’s recreation complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard.
