Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through September 7.
Auto Theft
7500 block of NW 75th Dr – Whittier Oaks
On September 5, a Silver 2020 Nissan Murano and a 2019 Black Subaru Forester were reported stolen from the driveway of a residence. Surveillance video shows vehicles removed from the driveway. Key Fobs for both vehicles were left inside the center console, and reportedly the Nissan was left unlocked. The Video dark, no suspects were seen, just headlights coming on and vehicles leaving the driveway. Vehicles both later recovered at 4301 NW 18th St. and 1881 NW 42nd Ter. in Lauderhill, at 10:55 a.m.
7500 block of NW 61st Ter – Mill Run
On September 5, the victim left the 2018 Nissan Rogue unlocked, key fob inside the center console. The victim heard the vehicle start-up and leave the driveway on at 4:00 a.m. No tracking system active for the vehicle. At the same time, BSO recovered two stolen vehicles in Lauderhill; this vehicle was recovered at 3100 Rock Island Road in Lauderhill.
Battery
7500 block of NW 61st Ter – Mill Run
On September 7, the victim had a physical altercation with her boyfriend of four years whom she resides with. The victim sustained injuries due to the altercation, and it was determined he was the primary aggressor and was subsequently arrested.
Burglary Conveyance
9400 block of Old Club Rd – Parkland Golf & Country Club
Between August 31 and September 1, a Mini Cooper’s passenger side window was smashed, and a PGCC guest pass was removed from the vehicle.
6800 block of Nw 74th Ct – Whittier Oaks
On September 5, the victim alleged that an unknown person entered his vehicle and stole three keyrings with keys and key fobs on them. No forced entry was made in the vehicles.
6800 block of NW 75th Ct – Whittier Oaks
On September 5, the victim’s vehicle was entered by a suspect without the victim’s permission overnight. The suspect was seen on security footage during the incident. Nothing was taken from the victim’s vehicle.
Criminal Mischief
6000 Hillsboro Blvd – City of Parkland
On September 4, graffiti was spray-painted on the wall west of BJ`s, along the lake at the 6000 block of Hillsboro Blvd. City of Parkland Public Works responded and painted over the graffiti.
Information
6300 block of NW 63rd Way
On September 2, the victim filed a report believing that her estranged husband had changed her email account passwords.
9300 block of MiraLago Dr – MiraLago
On September 2, the gate arm lowered onto marked BSO vehicle as it was entering the MiraLago community. No damage to the gate or vehicle.
9500 block of Stockholm Blvd – Four Seasons
On September 2, deputies responded to a disturbance call at the Four Seasons Guard House, where it was learned that an adult male who had just left his parent’s house inside the community. He was trying to manually open the community exit gate after it wouldn’t open automatically to let him drive out. He sustained a small puncture laceration injury to the back of his right hand from the gate.
10900 block of Pacifica Way – Cascata
On September 3, a subject soliciting in the neighborhood left without incident.
8200 block of Nw 128th Ln – Heron Bay
On September 7, the resident came to the Parkland District Office and reported that her ex-boyfriend has been harassing and threatening her via text messages.
Theft
12700 block of S Parkland Bay Tr – Parkland Bay
Between September 3 and 4, September 3, BSO was called about the overnight theft of 127 sheets of plywood removed from a home under construction at 12755 S Parkland Bay Trail.
Arrests
Cencer, Derrick (B M, 23) was arrested on charges of Battery-cause Bodily Harm – Domestic Violence at 7525 Nw 61st Ter, Parkland, on 09/07/2020.
