Frantzley Aristide {BSO}
Police say a Lake Worth man nearly drove off with a $70,000 Chevrolet Traverse from Bachrodt Chevrolet using a fake identity and forged documents.
According to a Coconut Creek Police Department arrest report, Frantzley Aristide, 29, was arrested June 24 after officers responded to Bachrodt Chevrolet on North State Road 7.
Police said dealership employees told investigators that Aristide identified himself as “Lowery Lorenzo” while purchasing a 2026 Chevrolet Traverse, valued at over $69,000. During the sales process, he allegedly gave them a photocopy of a Florida driver’s license featuring his photograph but another person’s name and date of birth, rather than producing a physical license.
Investigators say Aristide selected the vehicle, completed the paperwork, provided a $1,000 cash down payment, and was issued a Florida registration, license plate, and the keys to the SUV before dealership staff became suspicious.
According to the arrest affidavit, a DMV check revealed that the driver’s license number belonged to someone else, while the registration on the paperwork listed a completely different name. Dealership employees then contacted the police.
When officers questioned Aristide, he allegedly continued identifying himself as “Lowery Lorenzo”. Police said they were unable to locate any records for that identity through law enforcement databases.
According to the affidavit, officers also determined the Social Security number used during the transaction did not belong to a legitimate person. Police reported finding sales documents, a credit application, and other paperwork completed using the fictitious identity, as well as a Visa card bearing the false name.
Officers located Aristide in the dealership parking lot with the vehicle’s keys still in his possession and placed him under arrest.
Aristide was booked into the Broward County Main Jail, where he remained held on felony charges.
