
{Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce}
Business leaders, industry professionals, and local entrepreneurs gathered Friday morning at the Marriott Fort Lauderdale Coral Springs for the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Economic Forecast & Business Expo, an event aimed at examining market trends and business opportunities shaping South Florida.
Presented in partnership with Florida Power & Light Company, the annual expo featured a panel of economic and industry experts offering insights on interest rates, housing shifts, lending conditions, and the region’s economic resiliency heading into the new year.
Juliet Roulhac, director of corporate philanthropy and community engagement for FPL, served as moderator, leading a discussion on current economic shifts and 2025 projections.
Panelists included Dr. Albert Williams, professor of finance and economics at Nova Southeastern University; Shawn Aguilar, agency owner of the State Farm – Shawn Aguilar Agency; Jonathan Lickstein, president of Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors; Weston Wellington, vice president of Dimensional Fund Advisors; and Gilbert Pomar III, executive vice president and state president for SouthState.
Attendees explored both short- and long-term factors affecting growth across the region, with conversations centered on housing market trends, lending accessibility, and strategies for navigating economic uncertainty. The event also included a business expo, giving Chamber members the opportunity to showcase products and services while engaging with potential clients and partners.
