The City of Coconut Creek and the Seminole Coconut Creek Education Foundation are offering free SAT, ACT, and PSAT preparation classes to high school students and community members.
The college entrance exam program starts with a Parent & Student Orientation on Saturday, August 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard. This session will provide parents and students with a broad introduction to the upcoming classes, the importance of these standardized tests, and how the preparation courses can help students.
Following the orientation, a series of class sessions exclusively for students will begin on Wednesday, August 21. These classes will run every Wednesday from August 21 to September 25, from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Each session will focus on the SAT, ACT, and PSAT. Subjects of the classes will include essential test-taking strategies, practice questions, and various reviews of the subjects tested.
Students and parents interested in participating in the program must register, as spaces may be limited.
