Theft and Property Crimes
Theft – Banyan Bay Apartments: On Sept. 23, between 2:25 a.m. and 2:33 a.m., $80 was reported stolen.
Fraud – U-Haul: On Sept. 24, a rental vehicle was not returned at 5431 Johnson Rd. The vehicle was later located and towed.
Criminal Mischief – Country Lakes: On Sept. 24, a vehicle was damaged at 312 Lakeview Dr. Suspects unknown.
Vehicle Theft – Bayport Village: Between Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 25 at 6:35 a.m., a woman reported her vehicle stolen overnight. No suspects identified.
Burglary – Extra Space Storage: Between Sept. 11 and Sept. 24, a business burglary occurred at 4161 W. Hillsboro Blvd., with an estimated $2,500 loss.
Burglary – Elliot at Cocoplum: Between Sept. 22 and Sept. 26, a residence was burglarized at 3874 Cocoplum Cir. No suspects reported.
Theft – Walmart: On Sept. 27, at 5571 W. Hillsboro Blvd., suspects stole merchandise valued at $2,139.
Theft – Kohl’s: On Sept. 27, at 6950 N. State Road 7, two suspects stole shoes and clothes worth $548.65. In a separate incident, a repeat shoplifter stole $285 worth of merchandise.
Theft – Publix: On Sept. 27, at 5365 Lyons Rd., two women walked out with multiple baby formula products valued at $1,386.94.
Suspicious Incidents and Disturbances
Suspicious Incident – Home Depot: On Sept. 23 at 4450 N. State Road 7, a suspicious incident was reported involving an unknown suspect.
Suspicious Incident – NW 41st Terrace: On Sept. 23, threatening texts were reported.
Domestic Disturbance – Coconut Palm Club: On Sept. 25, a verbal domestic disturbance occurred at 5380 NW 55th Blvd.
Disturbance – Monarch High School: On Sept. 25, reports of an inappropriate video of a student circulated on campus.
Domestic Disturbance – Legacy Apartments: On Sept. 25 and Sept. 27, multiple verbal disturbances were reported.
Disturbance – Vista Verde: On Sept. 25, a domestic battery, assault, and false imprisonment incident occurred. One man was turned over to BSO.
Disturbance – Verbal: On Sept. 27, neighbors at 4183 NW 56th St. reported a verbal dispute.
Drug and Alcohol Violations
Narcotics Violation – W. Sample Rd. On Sept. 24, a traffic stop resulted in charges for DUI, driving with a suspended license, and cocaine possession. Suspect transported to BSO Main Jail.
Marijuana Violation – NW 54th Ave. On Sept. 27, a 19-year-old man was found with marijuana under 20 grams during a traffic stop.
DUI Crash – Copans Rd. On Sept. 27, a 32-year-old man was arrested for DUI at 4100 W. Copans Rd. following a crash.
Other Incidents
Suicide Attempt – Karanda Village VI: On Sept. 24, a 14-year-old girl was Baker Acted.
Property Damage – Lyons & Copans Rd.: On Sept. 24, property damage was reported near the intersection.
Animal Complaint – El Rancho: On Sept. 24, an animal cruelty call was determined to be unfounded.
Domestic Violence – Country Lakes Mobile Homes: On Sept. 24, simple battery in a dating violence case was reported.
Aggravated Assault – South Creek: On Sept. 25, a UPS driver was the victim of an aggravated assault.
False Imprisonment – Vista Verde: On Sept. 25, domestic violence involving assault and false imprisonment was reported.
Aggravated Assault/Battery – Regency Lakes: On Sept. 27, an aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and battery involving an elderly victim occurred. Suspect was transported to BSO Main Jail.
Missing Juvenile – Elliot South: On Sept. 27, a juvenile cut off his ankle monitor and left home.
Arrests
Reginald J. Neal, 54: Arrested on Sept. 27 at Walmart on Hillsboro Blvd. for trespassing after failing to leave the property when ordered.
Shontia Leonna Hill, 29: Arrested on Sept. 28 in Coconut Creek for criminal mischief causing over $1,000 in damage.
