The City of Coconut Creek invites residents and businesses to brighten the season with its annual Holiday Light Contest.
This festive competition encourages participants to showcase their creativity by decorating the exterior of their homes or businesses with dazzling holiday light displays. The entry with the most votes will earn the coveted first-place prize.
Participants will receive a lawn sign to indicate their involvement, and the community is invited to view the decorated properties online at CoconutCreek.net/HolidayLightContest.
To join the contest, participants must register by emailing CreekContest@coconutcreek.net. The email should include the family or business name, address, community name, contact phone number, and a photo of the decorated property.
Voting begins on Tuesday, December 17, and continues through Tuesday, January 7.
Winners will be announced by Thursday, January 9, on the City of Coconut Creek’s social media pages. While homes in gated communities are allowed to participate, they are not eligible to win prizes.
According to the city, all submissions become public records and may be used by the City for non-commercial purposes, such as brochures, flyers, websites, and social media posts, without compensation.
The types of prizes awarded has not yet been announced.
