Budding scientists with a sweet tooth are in for a treat this fall. The City of Coconut Creek will host Tasty Experiments, a hands-on program that blends science with taste, texture, and plenty of fun.
Designed for children ages 8 to 12, the four-week program runs on Tuesdays from October 7 to October 28, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at the Community Center, 1100 Lyons Road.
Each week, participants will explore scientific concepts through interactive lessons and activities before bringing the topic to life with an edible experiment to make and enjoy. All supplies and materials are included.
The cost is $40 for Coconut Creek residents and $50 for non-residents, with payment by credit card only. Space is limited to 10 participants.
Registration is open until full and may be completed online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at the Community Center or Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard. A WebTrac account is required for online registration.
For help setting up an account, contact the Community Center at 954-545-6670. More information is available at CoconutCreek.net/Recreation.
