Coconut Creek Little League enjoyed a memorable summer season, highlighted by its 12U All-Star team advancing to the District Championship Game for the first time since 2018.
The 12U squad put together an impressive postseason run, earning victories over Coral Springs American, North Springs, and Parkland to reach the final. Facing Fort Lauderdale in the championship round, Coconut Creek needed to defeat the eventual champions twice but came up just short to finish as district runner-up.
The team featured Jamie Acosta, Liam Almendarez, Vinicius Gouveia, Vincent Hara, Lucas Leal, Anthony Nicholas, Yvan Orellana, Braulio Pumariega, Roman Rodriguez, Luke Silva, Blake Smith, and Caiden Soto.
The 8U All-Star team also competed against some of the district’s top programs. Coconut Creek opened tournament play against eventual District 10 champion North Springs before facing runner-up Parkland in the elimination bracket. Despite being eliminated after two games, the team gained valuable experience against two of the tournament’s strongest opponents.
The roster included Liam Knockoff, Zayne Russell, Jackson Jorgensen, Leo Muschany, Lucas Arega, Lachlan Beach, Gianni Rubino, Miles Tunink, Michael Hara, Elliot Hara, Chamo Johnson, and Fritz Javel.
The 10U team delivered one of the tournament’s most exciting games, earning a dramatic 14-13 walk-off victory over Deerfield Beach. Team members included Angel Acosta, Braxton Bush, Lucas Thibeault, Mason Bagbey, Anthony Destafano, Braden Lee, Dax Sullivan, Matthew Diaz, Jordan Lemmin, Santino Durand, Kalib Dixon, and Carson Farrell.
The 11U team battled against a difficult schedule, dropping contests to North Springs and Parkland. The roster featured Alexander Schneider, Elijah Cramer, Ignacio Pineda, Colton Cerasani, Rhys Allen, Lennin Gutierrez, Riley O’Neil, Brandon Celli, Sebastian Rogers, Giovanni Simone, Russell Gross, and Michael Mendoza.
