A Coconut Creek woman faces three fraud-related charges after police linked her to a phone scam that cost a 75-year-old Texas woman tens of thousands of dollars.
Coconut Creek Police arrested Ariana Johnson, 23, over the weekend following a four-month investigation that began in May.
According to police, detectives identified Johnson as a suspect in receiving money obtained through the scam. Authorities did not disclose how the scam operated or the exact amount the victim lost.
Police took Johnson to the Broward County Jail.
