Holocaust Cattle Car {Sharon Aron Baron}
A mobile Holocaust exhibit featuring a cattle car identical to the kind the Nazis used to transport Jews to concentration camps is coming to Coconut Creek.
The “Hate Ends Now” exhibit’s centerpiece is a World War II replica cattle car inside of which visitors experience a 20-minute, 360-degree multi-sensory experience.
The exhibit, which also features Holocaust artifacts, will be open to visitors on Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 4800 W. Copans Rd.
Registration to visit the exhibit is required via Sign Up Genius. The exhibit is free and sponsored by Dr. Stephen and Gail Gerzof.
A city flier said the exhibit aims to raise awareness to combat antisemitism, educate visitors about the Holocaust, and combat all forms of hate.
After the exhibit, Coconut Creek will host a Holocaust survivors speaker event at the same location. Survivors will share their personal stories of the Nazi genocide that killed 6 million Jews.
