The IM=X Pilates and Fitness studio celebrated opening a new 1,200-square-foot expansion with a ribbon cutting.
Owners Kevin and Lori Derella said they will use this new room for exercise classes on the floor. They completed the expansion in May and celebrated with the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce on June 12.
The IM-X studio is located at 4690 North State Road 7 in Coconut Creek. With the new room, they now have 3,000 square feet of space to offer various fitness programs for people of all ages and athletic abilities.
According to Kevin, IM=X stands for integrated movement equals exercise. “We offer Reformer Pilates, strength training, and flexibility exercises. We can help people tighten their abs,” said Kevin.
Participation in various exercise programs is possible to stabilize the core muscles and strengthen the upper and lower body. Individual and group classes are offered. One exciting exercise device is the cycle tower, which combines indoor cycling with upper body strengthening and stabilization. According to Kevin, the Xercizer or reformer helps people stretch and tone every muscle group.
Kevin and Lori are passionate about fitness and exercise and want to share what they have learned over the years with the community. Coconut Creek leaders and members of the commission attended the event.
Mayor Sandra Welch shared, “I want the business to be successful. We love our small businesses.”
