Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through September 18.

Burglary

A 42-year-old male was the victim of Burglary – Residence on NW 56 Street was reported on 09/12/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,640.

Threat Assessment Report

A Threat Assessment Report at Winston Park Elementary on Winston Park Blvd was reported on 09/12/2023. A threat assessment of two children was needed.

A Threat Assessment Report at Coconut Creek High School on NW 44th Avenue was reported on 09/13/2023. A Behavioral Threat Assessment was requested regarding a 12th-grade student who threatened to beat up another student.

Criminal Mischief

Waterview was the victim of Criminal Mischief – in Waterview on Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 09/12/2023.

Theft

A 31-year-old female was the victim of Theft – From Building at U-Haul on Johnson Road was reported on 09/15/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,000.

A 27-year-old female was the victim of Theft – From Building at Publix was reported on 09/12/2023. The total estimated loss was $710.

A 62-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From Motor Vehicle on N State Road 7, was reported on 09/13/2023. The total estimated loss was $575. A stolen firearm was reported.

A 66-year-old female was the victim of Theft – All Other at Tradewinds Apartments on NW 42 Avenue was reported on 09/12/2023. The total estimated loss was $124. A package was stolen from the mailbox room.

Battery

A 50-year-old male was the victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Ashton Parc was reported on 09/13/2023.

A victim of Aggravated Battery at Coconut Creek High School was reported on 09/14/2023. A school official was struck by a vehicle.

Aggravated Assault

A victim of Aggravated Assault on Lyons Road was reported on 09/14/2023. During a traffic stop, a vehicle fled and almost struck an officer. The driver bailed out of the vehicle and was apprehended by the K9.

Suspicious Incident

A Suspicious Incident on Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 09/14/2023. A suspicious envelope containing mass school shooting propaganda was mailed to the school. No threats were made.

Disturbance

Disturbance – Other on NW 10 Street was reported on 09/14/2023. A Neighbor Disturbance where a male and female stated their neighbor was shooting wildlife was reported.

Civil Complaint

A Civil Complaint on NW 51 Avenue was reported on 09/15/2023. A realtor did a quit claim deed and put his name on the complainant’s property.

Electronic Harassment

A 60-year-old male was the victim of Electronic Harassment at Wynmoor on Granada Drive was reported on 09/16/2023.

Death – Suspicious/Unknown

Death – Suspicious/Unknown at Wynmoor on Martinique Court was reported on 09/17/2023.

Arrests

Kocinski, Michael, Anthony, 68, was arrested on a Grand Theft 1 Degree >$100k charge at 5145 NW 42 Avenue on 09/12/2023.

Moncayorivera, Maria, Diana, 44, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense at 5800 Lyons Road on 09/12/2023.

Mitchell, Brayden, Jayce-lei, Zayd, 20, was arrested on Aggravated Flee/Elude Law Enforcement High Speed at 4400 W Sample Road on 09/13/2023.

Davis, Joerosa, 46, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on 09/13/2023.

Hankerson, Anthony, Mason, 64, was arrested on a Petit Theft 2 Degree 1 Offense charge at 4600 Coconut Creek Parkway on 09/13/2023.

Thomas, Devontay, Jermaine, Isaacs, 29, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Assault LEO at 1800 Lyons Road on 09/14/2023.

Fleckner, Ryan, Scott, 40, was arrested on a Defrauding An Innkeeper Under $300 charge at 4437 Lyons Road on 09/15/2023.

Liroff, Shaylee, Rae, 21, was arrested on a Battery On a Person 65 Years Of Age Or Older charge on 09/16/2023.
