This is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through April 29, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents.
Serious Bodily Injury
A victim of Serious Bodily Injury on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 04/23/2024. A motor vehicle crash was reported with a possible traffic homicide investigation.
Theft
Publix was a victim of Theft—retail/Shoplifting at Coconut Creek Plaza on Coconut Creek Parkway, which was reported on 04/27/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,288.
A victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories at Cypress Shores on Lyons Road was reported on 04/27/2024. A total estimated loss was $700. Two tires were stolen from a vehicle.
A victim of Vehicle Theft—auto at Banyan Bay on W Atlantic Blvd was reported on 04/25/2024. The total estimated loss was $200. An X1 Honda Accord was stolen.
A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at Coco Parc on Lyons Road was reported on 04/23/2024. A total estimated loss was $50. Theft from an unlocked vehicle was reported.
U-Haul was the victim of Vehicle Theft – A truck on Johnson Road was reported on 04/23/2024.
A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Elliot South was reported on 04/25/2024.
A victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Cypress Shores was reported on 04/28/2024.
Animal Complaint
A victim of Animal Complaint – Other on NW 7 Street was reported on 04/23/2024. A Dog versus Raccoon was reported where the raccoon died.
Robbery
A victim of Robbery – By Sudden Snatch on a County Bus on Coconut Creek Parkway was reported on 04/23/2024. A total estimated loss was $139.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – Impersonation at Wells Fargo Winston Park on Lyons Road was reported on 04/26/2024. A total estimated loss was $19,000.
A victim of Fraud – Impersonation on Coral Tree Circle was reported on 04/24/2024. A total estimated loss was $8,421.
Battery
A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Coconut Creek Community Center on Lyons Road was reported. A verbal dispute and alleged simple battery between two females.
Electronic Harassment
A victim of Electronic Harassment at Monarch High School on Wiles Road was reported on 04/26/2024. – A Suspicious Incident was reported when a student received suspicious messages from a social media follower.
Arrests
Jacques, Gregory, 39, was arrested on a charge of Robbery By Sudden Snatching W/O Firearm Or Weapon at 3900 Coconut Creek Parkway on 04/23/2024.
Major Shaunta Anquinette, 35, was arrested on 04/24/2024 at 6900 Lyons Road on a charge of possession of an antishoplifting control device countermeasure.
Moshier, John B., 65, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense at 4700 W Atlantic Blvd on 04/25/2024.
Taylor, Shamel Scherrise Iesha, 36, was arrested on a charge of Battery On an Officer, Firefighter, or EMT at 4808 Coconut Creek Parkway on 04/26/2024.
Francois, Harvey Daryl, 42, was arrested on a charge of Petit Theft – 2 Degree – 3 Subsequent Offense at 4849 Coconut Creek Parkway on 04/27/2024.
