The Coconut Creek Police Department is investigating to determine whether a man, recently charged with the sexual battery of two teenagers, has victimized others.
According to officials, Ternell Cartagena, 22, of Deerfield Beach, was arrested on Feb. 9. Known by the nickname “Nuk” is currently being held without bond in the Broward County Jail, facing multiple charges. These include two counts of sexual battery of a juvenile, two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior, and online solicitation of a child, among other offenses.
Police are concerned that there may be more victims, given the nature of the crimes and evidence suggesting Cartagena’s contact with other juveniles prior to his arrest, and are actively seeking information from the public that may lead to identifying additional victims.
Detectives are urging anyone with knowledge regarding Cartagena’s activities or potential additional victims to come forward and contact the police department at 954-973-6700.
