Crime Update for Parkland Florida

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through January 24, 2022. 

Animal Bite

Holmberg Rd.

An animal bite was reported on 01/18/2022. The reporter advised that while outside of her residence, she was bitten by a neighbor’s unleashed dog.

Auto Theft

Sweet Bay Mnr.

On 01/23/2022, a man reported his white 2020 Range Rover valued at $100,000 stolen. The vehicle was unlocked with a key fob inside. Vehicle removed by an unknown subject without owner’s permission.

Burglary Conveyance

Parkside Dr.

On 01/21/2022, a 51-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Conveyance. An unknown person smashed the rear passenger window of her locked vehicle.  Multiple credit and debit cards were taken from the vehicle and used at Target and Walgreens, possibly in Deerfield Beach. Tot. Est. Loss: $6,870.


NW 62nd Ter.

On 01/20/2022, a 40-year-old female was the victim of Fraud-Impersonation. The victim alleged that an unknown subject hacked into her Delivery Dudes account and ordered food to their address in Plantation.


5901 Pine Island Rd.

On 01/18/2022, reporting parties advised there was an unknown male walking on the sidewalk adjacent to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. No victims were listed.

Injury at School

On 01/19/2022, a student playing during recess at Park Trails Elementary possibly suffered a broken arm. Rescue responded and transported the child to Coral Springs Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment. Parents contacted and were on scene.

Theft From Building

Kalmar Cir.

A 73-year-old female was the victim of Theft From Building on 01/18/2022. The victim alleged she is missing collectible coins and a gold bracelet that was in her residence. Tot. Est. Loss: $11,300.

Threat Assessment Report

5901 Pine Island Rd.

On 01/19/2022, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School made a questionable comment about bringing a potential weapon. The conversation was overheard by fellow students and school staff. Investigation revealed conversation was surrounding a paintball party for the weekend and not a threat to the school.
