The Coconut Creek Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 24-year-old man in need of his medications.
John Mathew Proby Jr. was last seen June 1 at the Solaire at Coconut Creek apartments at 5401 Wiles Rd., police said.
“He has medications he needs to take, and his family is worried about him,” said Coconut Creek Police Department spokesman Scotty Leamon. “We all want him found as soon as possible so he can get the help he needs.”
A Purple Alert has been issued in the case. According to police, such alerts are issued in Florida when an adult goes missing and that person is impacted by physical, mental, or intellectual challenges unrelated to Alzheimer’s, dementia, or substance use disorders.
Anyone with information about Proby Jr.’s location is asked to call Coconut Creek Police at 954-973-6700 or 911.
