Sprouts Farmers Market celebrated its store opening in Coconut Creek with a grand celebration and ribbon cutting on Friday.
Most of the store’s 96 team members, dedicated customers, Vice Mayor Jeffrey Wasserman, and Commissioner Sandra Welch attended the early morning event.
“We are glad to be here and look forward to providing high-quality food and service to our customers. We want to contribute to the Coconut Creek community,” said general manager Austin Anderson.
The store is 23,000 square feet and offers a farmer’s market atmosphere. Many food items sold at Sprouts are organic, and the company focuses on selling high-quality produce and meat. An individual walking through the store will see many items labeled as organic. Many specialty food items, body care products, and household items are also available.
Wasserman welcomed Sprouts to the city. “I am glad this store has opened, and it will be great for the residents of South Creek,” he said.
Welch made some purchases after the ribbon cutting and said she was impressed by the store’s products and the shopping experience.
A long line of customers from the area wanted to be among the first to enter the new store. Rochelle Blum said she liked the new store. “It is bright and cheerful, and I like their products,” she said.
Families and individuals walked the aisles and got to know the store. Free food samples were available. The party will continue all weekend with music and various activities.
Sprouts is located at 1019 Lyons Road and is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is closed only on Christmas Day.
