RISE Modern Wellness will celebrate its September 3 grand opening at the Promenade at Coconut Creek, offering cryotherapy, red light therapy, IV treatments, and more.
RISE Owner Emily Maher, a longtime Coconut Creek resident who has raised her family in the city, said the new location is designed for people looking to improve how they feel, recover from exercise, manage everyday aches, or simply take a more proactive approach to their health.
“RISE Modern Wellness is a modern recovery and wellness studio,” Maher told Coconut Creek Talk. “Think of it as the place people come when they want to feel better, recover faster, and take real care of their bodies, but without the intimidation of a medical office or the grind of a traditional gym.”
Services include whole-body and localized cryotherapy, infrared sauna, red light therapy, compression therapy, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, salt therapy, and other recovery treatments.
The center also offers nurse-administered IV drips, vitamin injections, and peptide therapy under physician oversight.
“It’s really a one-stop shop for people who want to actively invest in how they feel every day,” Maher said, “whether that’s an athlete recovering from training, someone managing chronic pain or stress, or just a mom or dad trying to feel like their best self.”
RISE will hold activities throughout September 3, beginning with a morning content event for invited local influencers and partners.
The public grand-opening celebration begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by ribbon-cutting ceremonies involving the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce and the City of Coconut Creek at 5:00 p.m.
Maher said guests can expect goodie bags, coffee provided through a partnership with Crema, and social media activities tied to the event.
“We want people to actually experience RISE, not just hear about it,” she said.
To encourage first-time customers to try multiple services, RISE is offering its “Proof Program” for $199 during the grand-opening period.
The package includes 12 visits to be used over four to six weeks and is advertised as a $1,140 value. Maher said the program is expected to cost $499 after the grand-opening promotion ends.
Maher said first-time visitors will not simply be placed into a treatment without first discussing their health and goals.
“Nobody walks in and just gets thrown into a cryo chamber,” she said.
Each new guest meets with a wellness coach for a health screening covering their goals, health history, and any potential contraindications. Staff then recommend services based on that information and guide the customer through the first treatment.
“It’s a very personal, very guided experience,” Maher said. “We never want someone to feel like a number or like they’re figuring it out on their own.”
Maher said RISE is intended to occupy a space somewhere between a traditional spa, gym, recovery facility and medical office.
“A spa is about relaxation, a gym is about exertion, a medical office is about treating something that’s already wrong,” she said. “RISE is about proactive recovery and performance for your everyday life.”
She said services such as cryotherapy and compression therapy offer some of the same recovery tools found in high-end athletic facilities, while the availability of IV therapy and other nurse-administered services adds a clinical component.
“You’re getting medical-grade oversight with a wellness studio feel,” Maher said. “Not sterile, not intimidating, just a place designed around helping your body actually recover and perform better.”
For Maher, opening the business in Coconut Creek was also personal.
“I have lived in Coconut Creek for my whole adult life and raised all of my kids here,” she said. “I have one in almost every school in Coconut Creek right now and one graduating this year from Monarch High School.”
Maher is also a longtime member of the Women’s Club of Coconut Creek and serves as head of mentorship within the organization.
She said she spent years researching wellness concepts and companies before deciding to open RISE.
“I have enjoyed helping people and making people happy my entire life,” she said. “So when the opportunity presented itself to open a wellness center after years of research for the best company and options to provide, I jumped on it.”
She added that she “couldn’t imagine having opened this center anywhere else.”
RISE Modern Wellness is currently operating from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
