Two shoplifters were arrested in Coconut Creek Tuesday for allegedly stealing from Kohl’s, police said.
Randrika Rush, 34, of Lauderhill, and Brittany Toliver, 35, of Fort Lauderdale, were caught stealing from the store at 6950 N. State Rd. 7 around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest affidavit filed by Coconut Creek Police.
The accused thieves were among three people seen concealing items by the store’s loss prevention officer, the report states.
Officers caught up to Rush at the front of the store, police said. Tolliver took off running and was caught in the parking lot of a nearby Walmart, according to a post by the police department on Facebook.
Rush and Tolliver were both charged with grand theft, records show.
It was unclear from the affidavit what happened to the third alleged shoplifter.
Rush and Tolliver were taken to the Broward County Jail. Their bond information was not immediately available on Thursday.
