Coconut Creek Announces 2026 Peewee Sports Programs for Young Athletes

The City of Coconut Creek is inviting its youngest residents to get in the game with the return of its popular Peewee Sports Programs for 2026 for ages 3 to 5.
Each session focuses on introducing basic skills through age-appropriate instruction and interactive play. Participants will receive a program shirt, medal, and sport-specific item, helping make the experience both memorable and rewarding for young athletes.
Parental participation is required; one parent or guardian must attend each class with their child. Sneakers are required for both participants and parents.
Programs will run throughout the year at Sabal Pines Park and the Coconut Creek Recreation Complex, with sessions scheduled from January through November. All sessions run from 6 to 7 p.m.
The 2026 schedule includes:
• Soccer — Sabal Pines Park
Sessions: Feb. 10–March 3 (Tuesdays) and Feb. 13–March 6 (Fridays)
• Baseball — Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Blvd.
Sessions: March 24–April 14 (Tuesdays) and July 8–29 (Wednesdays)
• Basketball — Recreation Complex
Sessions: April 10–May 1 (Fridays); April 29–May 20 (Wednesdays); Sept. 15–Oct. 6 (Tuesdays); and Sept. 18–Oct. 9 (Fridays)
• Multi-Sport — Recreation Complex
Session: June 10–July 1 (Wednesdays)
• Flag Football — Sabal Pines Park
Session: Aug. 14–Sept 4 (Fridays)
• Soccer — Sabal Pines Park
Sessions: Oct. 27–Nov. 17 (Tuesdays) and Oct. 30–Nov. 20 (Fridays)
The cost is $50 per session for Coconut Creek residents and $70 per session for non-residents. Credit card payment is required.
To qualify for resident pricing, participants must provide a state-issued ID or passport along with proof of Coconut Creek residency, such as a voter registration card, water bill, cable bill or electric bill dated within the past two months.
Registration opens 30 days prior to each session for Coconut Creek residents and 14 days prior for non-residents, subject to space availability. Enrollment remains open until sessions are full, with a limit of 12 children per session.
Families can register online at www.CoconutCreek.gov/WebTrac or in person at the Recreation Complex or Community Center, located at 1100 Lyons Road. A WebTrac account is required for online registration, and assistance is available by calling the Recreation Complex at 954-956-1580.
A copy of the child’s birth certificate may also be required at registration to verify age and legal guardianship.
