Linda Bailey is a new intern principal/assistant principal at Coconut Creek High School.
Bailey comes from Coral Springs High School, where she served as assistant principal, and is looking forward to her new role. Her area of leadership includes tenth-grade students, math, and science.
“I am looking forward to mentoring students and teachers in my new role,” adding that she is part of an amazing team.
She credits her fellow assistant principals, Mark Hoffman, who is also an intern principal, Tiffany Soto, and Daniel Lechtman, with welcoming her to Coconut Creek. Bailey is excited to be working under new principal Melissa Gurreonero.
Bailey believes in the Cougar Standard of Excellence, which extends to every member of the school community and includes being respectful, responsible, safe, and eager to learn.
“I am glad to be part of the leadership team, and I believe we will have a great year,” said Bailey.
Hoffman, who is considered second-in-command of the administration, said that an assistant principal plays a critical role in a high school because they lead the adults who teach the students.
As an intern principal, Bailey has completed the Broward County Public Schools leadership program and is eligible to become a school principal. Before becoming an assistant principal at Coral Springs, she taught math at Northeast High School and began her career at Rickards Middle School.
