A grant program is now available to Coconut Creek residents who want to make improvements to the community.
Homeowners’ associations, neighborhood groups, schools, and nonprofit organizations in Coconut Creek can apply through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program to receive funding assistance for projects that promote a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community, according to city information.
Grants up to $20,000 are available for accredited schools, single-family neighborhoods with public rights-of-way, and master Homeowners Associations. Grants of up to $10,000 are available for security projects, up to $7,500 for townhome or condominium projects, and up to $5,000 for signage projects. All grants require a minimum 50 percent match from applicants, according to city information.
The purpose of the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program is to stimulate neighborhood vitality by addressing the concerns and special needs of neighborhoods.
The commission has allocated funds for a Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program to assist in neighborhood planning, enhancement programs, and neighborhood partnership agreements, according to city information.
All applications must be submitted on approved application forms, which may be obtained by contacting the Department of Sustainable Development at City Hall or calling 954-973-6756.
