The community commemoration honoring the 17 victims lost at Marjory Stoneman Douglas held on February 14 will be observed as a Day of Love and Remembrance.
Presented by the City of Parkland, the free event starts at 5:30 p.m. at the amphitheater at Pine Trails Park. Where it will include a commemoration ceremony conducted by area spiritual leaders, followed by a video.
Support services, therapy dogs, and display boards where the community can write messages will be available and COVID protocols will be in place, and properly worn facemasks are required.
In case of traffic congestion at Pine Trails Park and the immediate area. Attendees are encouraged to carpool and allow plenty of extra time.
Food For The Poor is once again partnering with the city for a virtual fundraiser honoring the 17 lives lost by providing 20 new homes for families living in desperate need. Look for their table there.
