Coconut Creek Police arrested a man on charges that include methamphetamine possession after officers found him unconscious behind the wheel of a stolen car, authorities said.
Jose Camacho Turo, 43, of Miami, was spotted by police in the car around 11:15 a.m. Saturday in the 4800 block of West Hillsboro Boulevard.
When officers woke Camacho Turo, they found evidence of drug use and searched the car, police said. Inside the vehicle, they found methamphetamine and 18 stolen credit cards, according to the department.
The car had been reported stolen from Homestead in Miami-Dade County, police said.
Officers charged Camacho Turo with grand theft auto, possession of methamphetamine, and 18 counts of possessing a stolen credit card.
Records show that he was being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail on Monday.
