A burglar was arrested after cutting himself on a glass door he broke to get into a Coconut Creek business, police said.
Officers arrested Stanley Leeper, 52, of West Palm Beach, in the early morning of April 16 after he set off the alarm at Hook-Up Skate & Smoke Shop, 6738 N. State Rd. 7, according to Coconut Creek Police.
Officers found blood at the burglary scene and a bloodied Leeper nearby on a bicycle, police said. Officers said they also recovered some of the loot Leeper allegedly stole from the store. Police did not specify what was stolen.
Doctors stitched Leeper up at Northwest Medical Center before officers took him to jail, police said.
Leeper is charged with burglary and trying to hide evidence.
