Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through October 23.
Theft
A 40-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle on W Hillsboro Blvd on 10/17/2023. The total estimated loss was $12,350. An unlocked vehicle was entered, and jewelry and sunglasses were taken.
A 38-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at Banyan Square Plaza on Lyons Road on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,150.
A 60-year-old female was the victim of Theft – All Other on Lyons Road on 10/20/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,000. Mystical Spirits Wine and Liquor – Report of an employee stealing money from the register over eight months.
A 65-year-old male was the victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories at Wynmoor on Portofino Isle on 10/17/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,400. Two vehicles had their catalytic converters stolen.
Walmart was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on W Hillsboro Blvd on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,166.
A 47-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From Building on Sunshine Drive on 10/21/2023. The total estimated loss was $527.
A 37-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From Building on NW 57 Street on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $500. An iPhone went missing after a Comcast technician left the residence.
Walgreens was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on N State Road 7 on 10/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $465.
Winston Park Discount Liquor was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on Lyons Road on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $459.
A 46-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at Broadstone Cypress Hammocks on 10/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $450.
A 21-year-old female was the victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle at Broadstone Cypress Hammocks on Hillsboro Blvd on 10/18/2023. The total estimated loss was $350.
Vehicle Theft
A 32-year-old female was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto on W Hillsboro Blvd on 10/20/2023. A 2021 gray Kia Seltos was stolen from Belle.
A 36-year-old male was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Windsor on Lyons Road on 10/22/2023.
Counterfeiting
La Brasa was the victim of Counterfeiting on W Hillsboro Blvd on 10/17/2023.
Suspicious Incident
Mobile Oil Corp was the victim of a Suspicious Incident on Coconut Creek Parkway on 10/17/2023. A Suspicious Incident at a 711 where a digital device was found on a fuel pump.
Battery
A 44-year-old female was the victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Promenade on Lyons Road on 10/17/2023.
Fraud
A 39-year-old female was the victim of Fraud – Wire/Computer/ATM on Cocoplum Circle on 10/18/2023.
Show Cars Of Boca Raton was the victim of Fraud – Worthless Check/Obtain Property on Coconut Creek Pkwy on 10/20/2023.
A 76-year-old female was the victim of Fraud – Wire/Computer/Atm on 10/21/2023. The total estimated loss was $7,500. $7,500.00 was withdrawn from her savings account at the Chase Bank without the victim’s permission.
Arrests
Chisolm, Jeremy, Denard, 32, was arrested on a charge of Grand Theft >$750<$5000 at 5571 on Hillsboro Blvd on 10/18/2023.
Garcia, Manuel, Luciano, 35, was arrested on a charge of Resist Working Police Canine/Horse With Violence at 5551 Johnson Road on 10/22/2023.
