Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through June 5.

Aggravated Assault/Road Rage

A 35-year-old female was the victim of Aggravated Assault/Road Rage on W Sample Road was reported on: 05/30/2023. 

Vehicle Theft

A 30-year-old male was the victim of Vehicle Theft – Auto at Banyan Bay on W Atlantic Blvd was reported on: 05/31/2023. 

Theft – From Motor Vehicle

A 55-year-old female was the victim of Theft – From Motor Vehicle at Karanda 1 on Cocoplum Circle, reported on 05/31/2023. The total estimated loss was: $380. 

A 25-year-old male was the victim of Theft – From Motor Vehicle at Banyan Bay was reported on: 06/01/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,000. 

Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories

A 55-year-old male was the victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories at the Hampton Inn on N State Road 7 was reported on: 06/02/2023. A catalytic converter was stolen, and the total estimated loss was: $3,000.  

A 45-year-old female was the victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories on Coral Tree Circle was reported on: 06/02/2023. A catalytic converter was stolen, and the total estimated loss was: $1,000.  

Counterfeiting

The state of Florida was the victim of Counterfeiting on Lyons Road was reported on: 06/01/2023. 

Fraud – Identity Theft

A 39-year-old male was the victim of Fraud – Identity Theft at Al Hendrickson on W Sample Road was reported on:  06/01/2023. A vehicle was purchased with someone else’s information. 

A 19-year-old female was the Fraud – Use Of Credit Card victim on NW 23rd Place was reported on: 06/01/2023. The total estimated loss was: $468. 

Disturbance

Disturbance – A juvenile at 4333 Sol Press Blvd was reported on  06/01/2023, where a  Lyons Creek Middle/8th-grade student had a toy air-soft gun in their backpack.

Disturbance – Other at 5050 Wiles Road was reported on:  06/01/2023—Monarch High School- Disturbance between a parent and a school official.

Burglary – Residence

A 23-year-old female was the victim of Burglary – Residence at Advenir South on Cocoplum Circle, reported on: 06/01/2023. The total estimated loss was: $260. 

Theft – Retail/Shoplifting

Sephora was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 4455 Lyons Road was reported on: 06/01/2023. The total estimated loss was: $512.

Kohls was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 6950 N State Road 7 was reported on: 06/03/2023. The total estimated loss was: $539. Two subjects working in concert stole vacuums. 

Sephora was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting at 4475 Lyons Road was reported on: 06/01/2023. The total estimated loss was: $502.

Robbery

A 50-year-old male was the victim of Robbery in Raintree I – By Sudden Snatch was reported on: 06/04/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,200. 

Arrests

Jones, Tiniyah, Unique, 19, was arrested on a License Plates Etc/ Possess Counterfeit charge at 5800 Lyons Road on 06/01/2023.

Potts, Eric, Dequarias, 18, was arrested on a Burglary Unoccupied Conveyance Unarmed – Principal 1st Degree charge on 06/01/2023.

Nunez, Heather B., 39, was arrested on a Trespassing Occupied Structure Or Conveyance charge at 4849 Coconut Creek Parkway on 06/02/2023.

Hellwig, Jose, Israel, 28, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on 06/03/2023.

Madison, Jeremy (B M, 31) was arrested on an Agg Batt Offender Knew Or Should Victim Pregnant Domestic Violence charge on Sunshine Drive on 06/04/2023.

Bermudez, Alvaro, 31, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge at 1001 NW 45 Avenue on 06/04/2023.

Bund, Jordan, Alan, 55, was arrested on a Robbery By Sudden Snatching W/O Firearm Or Weapon charge on 06/04/2023.
