Hero is here to save the day. This black and white American Staffordshire Terrier loves to be around people and other dogs.
He loves when volunteers take him on walks and play a round of fetch with him, but Hero is just as happy being a couch potato every once in a while and snuggling up for a nap next to whoever is around.
According to Broward County Animal Care, Hero is two years old and weighs 55 pounds. He got to the shelter at the end of May, and while the summer with all of his new friends has been fun, he is ready for his forever family to come and get him.
This pup is dog and baby-friendly and would be perfect for a home with other pets and children. He is a good listener and aims to please his humans.
To adopt Hero (A2194179), foster, or take a dog out for lunch, email the shelter at foster@broward.org. To schedule a meet-and-greet appointment and learn more about adoptable pets, email ACADadoptions@broward.org.
The Adoption Center at Broward County Animal Care is located at 2400 SW 42 Street, Fort Lauderdale, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Adoptions are free and include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, a microchip, and a Broward County pet license tag.
