Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through October 18, 2021.
Information
Pine Island Rd.
On 10/15/21, the assistant principal reported to BSO deputies that a student and teacher got involved in a tussling match over school property. The student was suspended and removed from class. No one was injured.
Holmberg Rd.
On 10/15/21, a juvenile student brought contraband to school. The assistant principal handled the discipline of the student based on the school district’s disciplinary matrix.
Lakeview Ln.
On 10/12/2021, the reporter alleged her juvenile son left the residence without informing her where he was going. The son was located within the gated community.
Property Damage
S. Miralago Way
On 10/12/2021, a school bus entering a development made contact with an access pole.
Suspicious Incident
NW 70th Ct.
On 10/12/2021, a subject walked up to several cars and appeared to look inside before walking away.
Theft
NW 62nd Dr.
On 10/15/21, a MacBook air was reported stolen from a victim’s vehicle.
N. State Road 7
On 10/16/2021, the reporter advised an unknown male entered a business where he concealed numerous items and exited the store without making payment. Tot. Est. Loss: $113.
Threat Assessment Report
Nob Hill Rd.
A BSO Threat Assessment Report was conducted in Parkland on 10/14/2021. No victims were listed.
Arrest
Echevarria, Elizabeth Beatriz, 35, was arrested on Petit Theft charges on Nw 60th Ter on 10/16/2021.
