With the pandemic’s hardships, communities in Broward County and worldwide need more help than ever.
Each Mitzvah Day, the Jewish community bands together to give back by performing mitzvahs — or good deeds.
On Sunday, April 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Jewish Federation of Broward County hosts a socially distanced, safe drop-off event on their Davie campus.
Until then, they have allocated other Parkland drop-off locations for those unable to join for the event.
Needed items include groceries, food, clothing, baby items, hygiene products, toiletries (travel & full size), senior items, used glasses, hair styling appliances, summer camp items, art supplies, school supplies, water bottles, and much more. View the full list from partner organizations.
From now through April 11, residents can collect items and deposit them at Congregation Kol Tikvah, located at 6750 North University Drive, or Chabad of Parkland, located at 7170 Loxahatchee Road.
The Mitzvah Day boxes placed outside the sanctuary doors weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
