Golf season is underway in Coconut Creek, with two golfers from North Broward Prep already taking first place.
Tingting Zuang won for the girls’ team in Fort Lauderdale, shooting a 35 (-1) against Coral Springs Charter and St. Thomas Aquinas. Despite finishing third as a team, the Eagles were only one shot back of second place and two shots behind first.
Jester Mendez and Ava Koury each tied for second with a 37, while Mackenzie Harris finished fifth with a 40. Cooper Auction and Jordan Ellis each came in the top 10. The boys’ team had three golfers record 37s and tie for fourth place with Max Gressle, Cooper Roth, and Alexander Lavan. John Marzano and Jiayi Wang both shot 39s, while Elliot Fishman recorded a 40. Lavon then went on to play 18 holes and was tied for first after shooting a 69 in Lakeland less than a week later. He ultimately finished in second place after a two-hole playoff.
