Research will be conducted on the demographics of Coconut Creek’s districts.
Because of changes in the city’s population and the potential influx of residents from the construction of Mainstreet at Coconut Creek, Commissioner Joshua Rydell considers this study important.
During the February 12 meeting, the commission passed a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute an agreement between the city and Ronald Schultz for demographic services related to the development and preparation of geographic boundaries for city commission districts for the election of commission members. The city has retained his services in previous years to satisfy the charter-driven redistricting requirements, according to commission agenda information.
The city will pay $29,600 for the work, according to city information.
