It was a wild trade deadline in baseball this season.
In the middle of it, all was former Marjory Stoneman Douglas first basemen, Anthony Rizzo — just traded from the Chicago Cubs to the New York Yankees who hit home runs in back-to-back games to start his career with the Yankees.
Rizzo, who had only 11 home runs until July 24th with the Cubs, hit three in his final four games with Chicago.
He then hit a pair of home runs in his first game two games with New York after returning home to face the Miami Marlins on Friday and Saturday.
Rizzo also had two other hits and has scored five runs in two games, while New York also won both games and has trimmed the Red Sox lead in the Al East to 6 1/2 games.
He plays one more game in Miami before returning home to make his debut in the Bronx on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles.
