Coconut Creek Community Center {Coconut Creek}
The City of Coconut Creek invites middle school students to unplug from their screens and dive into the exciting world of coding — no computers required.
The “Unplugged Coders” program offers a creative approach to teaching programming concepts through engaging activities, games, and puzzles designed to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Targeted at students ages 11 to 14, the program introduces coding concepts such as sequences, loops, and logic in a tech-free environment, allowing participants to explore these fundamental skills in a fun and interactive way.
The program will run on Saturdays from February 15 through March 15, excluding February 22. Sessions will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Coconut Creek Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road. The cost is $30 for Coconut Creek residents and $40 for non-residents, with payment accepted via credit card only.
Participation is capped at eight students. Registration is open until all spots are filled and can be completed online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac, in person at the Community Center, or at the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard. For online registration, participants must have a WebTrac account set up in advance.
Those needing assistance with account creation can contact the Community Center at 954-545-6670. Additional information about the program and other events can be found at CoconutCreek.net/Parks.
