Young basketball enthusiasts in Coconut Creek can showcase their skills in an upcoming 4-on-4, double-elimination half-court tournament.
Open to both boys and girls, the event promises competitive action, fast-paced games, and exciting rewards for the champions.
The girls’ tournament is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m., while the boys’ tournament will take place on Wednesday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m.
The competition is open to girls ages 11 to 14 and boys ages 12 to 14. Each game will be played for either 12 minutes or until a team reaches 21 points, whichever comes first. Winning teams will receive gift cards as prizes for their hard work and teamwork on the court.
Teams may consist of a maximum of six players, and each participant can only play for one team. To enter, teams must pay a $20 registration fee by March 15, with the cost increasing to $30 afterward. Payments must be made by credit card. Registration will remain open until all spots are filled, but space is limited to six teams per tournament.
All participants must complete a registration form and waiver before competing. Additionally, teams must provide a designated shirt color at the time of registration, with colors being assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
The tournament will take place at the Recreation Complex, located at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard.
Those interested in registering can do so online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at either the Recreation Complex or the Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road. Participants must have a WebTrac account before registering online.
