
BCAA All-Star Soccer Game. {BCAA}
Coconut Creek’s top student-athletes were in action for the BCAA All-Star game, while track and field student-athletes competed in the BCAA Championship.
Ryan Pauline was the lone boys soccer player to compete after scoring five goals for Coconut Creek High School and helping them finish the season 14-3-2.
Kearstin Iadarola played from Monarch High School after scoring 13 goals and recording eight assists to help the Knights win nine games.
Abigail Theopile represented the Coconut Creek girls basketball team. She led the team with 16.3 points per game while the team went 7-11. The Monarch girl’s basketball team had Laya Levy selected after the Knights knocked off Hallandale and Pomonao Beach High School this year.
Coconut Creek and Monarch High School were in action at the BCAA Championship at Coral Springs High School on March 21. Kamari Huggins led the Cougars to a win in the javelin, while Nathaniel Black placed sixth in the 110 hurdles. Randy Whitehard placed seventh in the shot put, with Jayden Jackson coming in 11th. Coconut Creek also had their 4 x 800 relay team place 11 with Alexander Guillaume, Juvens Joseph, Jeremiah Accius, and Dudley Norcine.
Coconut Creek also had Ruth Ann Powell do well in both the 100 and 200 meters while also racing in the 4 x 800 relay with Salaya Campbell, Farah Charles, and Romaicor Desir. Monarch had their top relay team come in the 4 x 400, with Sasha Rodriguez, Kennedi Stephenson, Chelsea Dumas, and Zykeria Rutledg coming in 10th. Katrice Burke, Stephenson, Silvia Guzman-Serrano, and Zykeria Rutledge placed 11th in the 4 x 400 relay.
