Sabal Pines Park. {City of Coconut Creek}
The City of Coconut Creek invites residents to reconnect with nature during “Creek Hikes,” a guided, one-day adventure through three scenic trails on Saturday, May 31, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The event begins at Sabal Pines Park, located at 5005 NW 39th Avenue, where participants will gather and begin the first leg of their journey. A city-provided bus will transport the group to the Winston Park Nature Trail, followed by a final stop at the Fern Forest Nature Center.
Each trail offers a unique, self-paced hiking experience, with time allotted for participants to learn about native plants and local wildlife before setting off. The program is open to all ages; however, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Creek Hikes is free to attend, but space is limited and preregistration is required. The event is open exclusively to Coconut Creek residents. Registration is available online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac. A WebTrac account is needed to register. For help with account setup, residents can contact the Recreation Complex at 954-956-1580.
