A motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Coconut Creek Thursday, authorities said.
The rider was rushed to a local hospital and expected to survive, according to Coconut Creek Police.
The motorcycle and a car crashed around noon near the intersection of Lyons Road and Winston Park Boulevard, according to police. All southbound lanes on Lyons Road at the intersection were closed while officers investigated the crash, police said.
Drivers were still being encouraged to avoid the area as of 1:40 p.m. Thursday.
