Join Congregation Kol Tikvah as they light up Parkland Hanukkah-style.
On Friday, December 3, dinner and family fun begins at 5:30 p.m. at The Pine Trails Amphitheater.
Rabbi Bradd Boxman said this is one of his favorite Shabbats because the whole community is welcome.
“The energy is amazing,” he said, “There’s singing, dancing-it’s a great time interacting with one another.”
The event will feature game stations, crafts, and a variety of music, from the Kol Tikvah Rock Shabbat Band to the religious school and pre-school children performing Hanukkah songs.
Attendees can either bring their own dinners or pre-order from TooJays for delivery at the park. Then, afterward, everyone can sit back, relax, and enjoy the sounds of Hanukkah at 6:30 p.m.
New this year on the lawn will be the creation of a huge menorah made out of luminaries.
“Hanukkah is about looking at the light within to dispel the darkness around us,” said Rabbi Boxman.
The Pine Trails Amphitheater is located at 10561 Trails End. Attendees should bring their own blankets or chairs to the event.
