A Coconut Creek woman has been arrested on felony charges following an altercation with her neighbor that allegedly turned violent.
According to a Coconut Creek Police Department report, the incident began on the evening of May 25 outside an apartment complex on Antigua Circle in the Wynmoor community where Donna Marcy Glassman, 64, of Coconut Creek, approached the victim, described as a 72-year-old female, who was seated in her parked car, and initiated a verbal dispute that escalated into physical contact.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim told police she was sitting inside her vehicle while questioning Glassman about why she appeared to be “pacing and looking through neighbors’ windows,” a comment that allegedly made her extremely hostile.
The victim told officers that following the comments, Glassman approached her vehicle, giving her the finger while shouting profanities.
The victim alleged that Glassman then reached inside the vehicle and punched her neck while pinching and twisting the skin on her arm.
Police later interviewed Glassman, who admitted to confronting the woman after an exchange of words and acknowledged pinching her arm, though she claimed it was accidental and apologized.
Glassman was taken into custody and transported to the Broward County Main Jail. She was later released after posting a $1,500 bond.
