
Coconut Creek High School Football. {CC Athletics}
The Coconut Creek High School football team is back in the postseason as they make a run for a State Championship.
The Cougars are seeded 4th and will play Mater Academy Charter in their first playoff game. The Cougars, who rank 92nd in the state, went 8-2 this year, following wins over Miramar, Piper, Western, Deerfield Beach, and Boyd H. Anderson. South Broward, Blanche Ely, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas.
Their only losses were by five points against Cardinal Gibbons High School and by three points against Atlantic High School. They will be taking on a team that also went 8-2 and lost to Lake Gibson and Immaculate-La Salle High School in back-to-back weeks.
The winner of this game will play either top-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas or Heritage High School. Atlantic, North Miami, Martin County, and McArthur all qualified as well.
