The City of Coconut Creek is launching a Special Needs Bowling League this fall. The league will offer a fun and supportive environment for adults with special needs to enjoy friendly competition and social connections.
Open to individuals ages 18 and older, the league welcomes all skill levels and includes a league shirt for participants. The program runs Mondays from August 18 through October 13, excluding September 1, and takes place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at AMF Margate Lanes, located at 2020 N State Road 7 in Margate. Participants are asked to arrive by 4:45 p.m.
To join, participants must be able to follow basic instructions, have independent bathroom skills, and comfortably participate in a group setting. Those requiring additional assistance must provide their own supervision. Transportation will not be provided.
The registration fee is $110 for Coconut Creek residents and $130 for non-residents, payable by credit card only. Registration will not be accepted at the bowling alley, and the number of participants will be limited to 30. Enrollment is available online at CoconutCreek.net/WebTrac or in person at the Community Center (1100 Lyons Road) or the Recreation Complex (4455 Sol Press Boulevard). A WebTrac account is required to register online.
