The city of Coconut Creek had a terrific winter season, and dozens of players were recognized with All-Conference Awards.
Coconut Creek
Ryan Paulime was selected to the First Team for the boys’ soccer team. He was a two-captain and played defense to help the Cougars reach the Regional Playoffs. The Cougars won their first District Title in 25 years after scoring the winning goal on a penalty kick.
Mike Milord was picked to the Second Team, While Clevice Joseph and Malcolm Robinson were Honorable Mentions. Coach Brandon Wray was also named Coach of the Year after the team went 14-3-2 and earned the second seed in the Regionals.
Abigail Theopile was the leading scorer for the Coconut Creek girls’ basketball team and made the Second Team. After a seven-win season, Frantasia Jacques, Ma’Kylah Menard, and Devonique Thompson were Honorable Mentions. Ijah Chin and Dallas Dixon were Honorable Mentions from the boys’ basketball team after they had their only win against Hollywood Hills High School in their first game.
Monarch High School
Monarch High School had Dalilah Alvarado-Nater receive the top recognition, securing a Second-Team selection in girls’ soccer. The Knights went 9-7-3, while Brandon Amara, Luca Lopez, Mathew Pereira, and Odair Possu were Honorable Mentions from the boys’ team. They won a District Champions and competed in Regionals after winning 11 games.

Benjamin Boutin, Nikyle Campbell, and Sidney Lewinsky were chosen as Honorable Mentions from the boys’ basketball team. The Knights went 7-11, and Tyler Metellus also received an Honorable Mention after making it to the State Championship in wrestling.
North Broward Prep
The girls’ soccer team at North Broward Prep was heavily featured, with Ella Munoz and Jayda Palumbo being picked to the First Team. Munoz has been on varsity since sixth grade and shined defensively, scoring three goals and six assists. The Eagles also had 11 shutouts during the season and made a run into the Regionals.
Palumbo led the offense, scoring 20 goals and recording eight assists to help NBP finish the season 12-4-2. Lila Brown made the Second Team, while Sumayah Brown, Zoie Brown, Isabella Cancelier, Laila Dionisio, Kaylee Forcione, and Kaiden O’Neill were Honorable Mentions.
Filipe Cabral was named to the boys’ soccer First Team after scoring eight goals and having three assists. The Eagles reached Regionals after winning six games. Maxwell Galperin made the Second Team, while Jacob Coffman, Cameron Riddle, Colton Tunick, and Hauging Xu were Honorable Mentions.
The boys’ basketball team made Regionals and went 14-14, with Ryan Baxley, Luigi Borio, Sam Cano, Cristian Rosado, and Jayden Smith getting Honorable Mentions. Makena Longo, Ysamar Pimentel, and Kaydie Sturm achieved that for the girls’ basketball team following a 10-win season.
