Anthony Maestre is set to play two sports at the next level after committing to Ithaca College in New York.
“I am grateful and humbled to announce my commitment to Ithaca College, where I will continue my academic and athletic journey at the next level,” Maestre said.
Maestre, of Coconut Creek, will play football and baseball and was a star with North Broward Prep in both sports. On the football field, he had 862 yards and eight touchdowns while adding 136 receiving yards and another score as a senior. Maestre has played on the varsity football team for three years and has accumulated 104 tackles.
He was part of two State Champion teams in 2022 and 2024 in baseball. Maestre finished his high school career with 16 RBIs while also adding eight doubles and two triples. He will join a football team at Ithaca College that was 6-4 last season and a baseball squad that currently has 26 wins this season.
