Through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Coconut Creek’s crime and arrests through February 5, 2024.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – Other on Cocoplum Circle was reported on 01/31/2024. The total estimated loss was $10,000. The victim was scammed by a Publisher’s Clearing House phone scam. The caller sent away approximately $10,000.
Theft
A victim of Theft – Auto Parts/Accessories at Elliot South on Cocoplum Circle was reported on 01/31/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,000. A Catalytic Converter theft was reported.
A victim of Theft – Bicycle at Country Lakes Mobile Home Park on NW 39 Drive was reported on 02/01/2024. The total estimated loss was $700.
Walmart was the victim of Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on W Hillsboro Blvd was reported on 02/01/2024. The total estimated loss was $241. A male was arrested for retail theft and trespassed indefinitely.
A victim of Theft – From a Motor Vehicle was reported on 02/02/2024. An attempted vehicle burglary with unknown suspects.
Fire
A victim of Fire – Structure/Dumpster/Vehicle, etc. on N State Road 7 was reported on 02/02/2024. A vehicle Fire at the Coconut Creek Auto Mall.
Threat Assessment
A Threat Assessment Report on Sol Press Blvd was reported on 02/02/2024. A Lyons Creek Middle School Student alleged that an 8th-grade student made a threat.
Animal Bite
A victim of an Animal Bite that occurred at Coco Palms on NW 62 Court was reported on 02/03/2024. It was an Animal-to-Animal Bite (Dog) with significant injuries.
Concealed Weapon
The State of Florida was the victim of the Weapon-Carry Concealed Weapon at Evergreen on N State Road 7, which was reported on 02/04/2024. A traffic stop was made, and a stolen firearm arrest was made.
Battery
A victim of Battery – Simple Touch/Strike at Country Lakes on NW 39 Avenue was reported on 02/04/2024. A Battery on 2 Law Enforcement Officers was reported.
Arrests
Wiggins, Travis, Darnell, 51, was arrested on a charge of Theft By Taking Felony at 3570 W Atlantic Blvd on 01/30/2024.
Kalfen, Ian, Gregory, 33, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense at 4300 State Road 810 on 02/01/2024.
Williams, Henry, 51, was arrested on a charge of Petit Theft 1 Degree Property $100 To < $300 at 5571 W Hillsboro Blvd on 02/01/2024.
Durolie, Shawna, Lisa, 23, was arrested on a charge of Neglect Child Without Great Bodily Harm at 3568 Cocoplum Circle on 02/02/2024.
Barrett, Glenn, Anthony, 61, was arrested on a charge of Manufacture, Possess, Sale Or Dispose Of Counterfeit Tags at 4300 W Atlantic Blvd on
02/02/2024.
Rhoden, Justin, Anthony, 27, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense at 4400 Lyons Road on 02/02/2024.
Crichton, Khamari, Paul, 18, was arrested on a charge of Grand Theft Of Firearm at 4650 State Road 7 on 02/04/2024.
Dealmeida, Helio, Jose, 48, was arrested on a charge of Battery On an Officer, Firefighter, Emt Etc. at 6800 NW 39 Avenue on 02/04/2024.
