Coconut Creek has seen success in various sports, producing championships heading into the spring season.
Rosie Kleine won the BCAA Championship in wrestling and was also named the most outstanding wrestler. She improved to 27-2 this year, while Tyler Metellus came in second after dropping his first match of the year and later came in third at Regionals to advance to state. Logan Montas De Oca placed seventh at Districts. Kleine then went on to win her third straight Regional Championship and will make her return to the State Championship, while Tyler Metellus and Diddier Castillo Carrillo took first place for the boys. Aiden Loriston and Diddier Castillo Carrillo took first at the junior varsity level.
In hockey, the Eagles continue their dominance, winning a State Title. They won all three games in pool play, outscoring their opponents 22-4. They went on to win in the Semifinals 7-0 before a 9-1 win in the Championship Game.
Earlier this year, the Eagles honored their seniors Brian Pine, JP Ameen, Luca Macarie, Ryan Folic, Dylan Kelman, John Trontz, Rutger Grady, Justin Rosenthal, and Cole Jovanovski before winning their fourth straight League Championship.

The boys basketball team fell in the District Tournament, losing 54-41 against St. Andrew’s School. However, they went on to Regionals and beat Bishop Verot High School 61-40 before losing to top-seeded Calvary Christian Academy in the Regional Semifinals on Monday 62-34.
The girls basketball team was knocked out of the District Tournament by Coral Springs Charter following a 57-43 loss. The Eagles went on to qualify for Regionals, setting up a rematch against Somerset Academy Canyons. However, they fell for the second time and were eliminated after finishing the season 10-15.
However, they did have a player in college named Player of the Week in the Ivy League. Riley Weiss, a 2023 graduate, scored a career-high 34 points for Columbia University in a win against Princeton.
In soccer, the girls team was seeded third at Regionals after falling to Somerset Academy Canyons in Districts but beat Oasis High School 7-0 in their opening game before losing 2-1 against top-seeded Bishop Verot High School 2-1. The boys soccer team lost to Oasis High School in Regionals and finished the season 6-8-1. The boys lost to Somerset Academy 3-2 in Districts.
Track and field is also underway, with Monarch and Coconut Creek High School competing in the Louie Bing Invitational. The Knights had two relay teams in the top 20, along with a strong individual performance from Anthony Potenzano. Silvano Guzman Serrano had the top result in the 400 hurdles.
The Cougars’ top performance came from Dudley Norcine in the 1600 meters. Malik Yow, Jermaine Gordon, Michael Buggam, Robert Esper, Kamari Higgins, and Jeremiah Accius also shined, while two relay teams for the girls placed in the top 15. Jayda Washington also impressed in the long jump, along with Salaya “Ollie” Campbell, Ruth-Ann Powell, and Farah Charles, before Accius won the triple jump in a meet.
Willis Gillis also led the Eagles to a win at Calvary Christian in the 3200 meters. In their next meet, Felix Ostamendy won the hurdles races. Christopher Baker, Braxton Bylow, Felix Ostamendy, and Boston Nguyen won a relay. Daniel Guzman also took first, while Ysamar Pimentel won for the girls.
