Coconut Creek offered a Juneteenth celebration on the evening of June 14 at the City Hall Courtyard.
O-Town Motown, a tribute band, performed various Motown songs and interacted with the crowd. Many of the attendees got up and danced to the music, enjoying a fun social event. Families could enjoy dinner from various food trucks.
Mayor Jackie Railey danced to the music and was pleased with the event. “This was so much fun, and I love to dance,” she said.
Vice Mayor Jeffrey Wasserman came with his wife, Kristin, and daughter, Olivia. “This is great, and it was good for the city,” he said.
