
X=Team plays the Original Florida Pokers in the BCS National Championship. {954 Preps}
X team, a travel baseball team out of Coconut Creek, had a sensational summer and recently shined in the BCS National Championship in Fort Myers.
They began play with a 5-2 win over Conch Ball behind two RBIs from Ethan Lindor. Mark Manuel and Matthew Toback had RBIs while Abraham Halaousi tossed 6.1 innings and allowed only two runs before Anthony Vargas recorded the final two outs. X Team then went on to win 5-3 over Klutch Baseball.
Despite trailing by a run in the bottom of the sixth inning, they responded with three runs to win behind three RBIs from Matthew Conger. Enrrizue Gomez got the win, tossing out innings in relief after a strong start from Vargas.
X-Team’s run in tight games continued in their third match against Open States Makos. Manuel was the third pitcher to come into the game in the first inning, but earned the win with seven strikeouts in 4.1 innings. Hayden Robinson had a team-high three RBIs and then went on to record four in a 10-6 victory over ZT Prospects.
X-Team had their tightest game against Top Tier Roes with Toback driving in both runs and Matthew Greenberg earning the win in a 2-1 victory. They would then knock off the two-time defending BCS Champions in the Original Florida Pokers before earning their final win against Top Tier Americans.
Vargas had the win in relief while four players drove in runs. Thomas Giltner then earned the final win and struck out five in four innings. However, their run would end after an 8-7 loss against the South Charlotte Panthers, dropping them to 24-4-4 this year.
