Big Reveal: Marjory Stoneman Douglas Gets New Band Trailer

The Eagle Regiment Band at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland has a new place to transport their band equipment in once was a former Doritos trailer.

According to band spokesperson Georgia T. Garnecki, after years of renting trucks, sponsors raised over $16,000 in one month to buy the trailer which was transported from Indiana. Parents then spent hours preparing the trailer for the wrap that would go over it, but first had to remove the stickers on it which was time-consuming. After that, they applied the wrap just in time for the State Championship in Tampa this Saturday.

“The band was the only band of its size that did not have a personalized trailer, so this is a major milestone for these hard-working kids to show up at States in style,” said Garnecki.

The trailer will be stored at the school, and when they need it they have someone with at CDL license who will rent the cab and drive it to competitions and games.
